Wish List - Custom Probes

As I understand it, when it comes to setting warning/alarm state, Custom probes are only able to check polled OID values against fixed thresholds. It might there is a good reason why this has to be, but if not I would find it very useful to trigger an event (set state, send an e-mail etc) based on a certain change in OID value.
