Hi, I'm working on a custom TCP probe, and I need to enter a password for the probe to use on a remote device. The password is displayed in plain text in the probe paramater dialog box. I'd like a way to hide it, like the POP3 probe does.
I looked at the POP3 probe file, but to my surprise it doesn't seem to be what IM is actually using! The text in the com.dartware.tcp.pop3 file doesn't match the text in the probe's dialog box. (FYI: there's a typo in the dialog box - "emtpy" instead of "empty".) I'm guessing that the POP3 probe became a built-in but the old probe script file is still part of the distribution. Is there a way to hide a password in a custom probe parameter field? If not, how about making this a new feature request?
