our power system here at East Tennessee State University frequently
fails, because of its age and the amount of load that is put on this old
system. as a result, power outages here are somewhat frequent (1 or 2 a
month) i would like to be able to shut off all paging when our apc goes on
battery, otherwise 200+ pages are sent because of the pattern of outages.
is this possible? i already have a probe that reacts when the apc goes on
battery, however since we can not yet write a "DOWN" into a custom snmp
probe, I can't do this by simply hanging my IM server off the apc (on the map
anyway) suggestions?
