[IM-Talk] Probe Variable into Label Text

Is there a way to get access to probe variables in the device label? 
Ie. I'd like to set a variable $foo in the probe, then use <foo> in the 
device label.

It doesn't look like this is possible now. You can use sysName, 
SysDescr, SysContact and SysLocation this way. But I'm either not 
setting them right, or you can't manually assign a value to them.

Is there a way to do this?
Long-term, it would be great to have full variable access in the labels 
like in my example above.
