Hello,

I am currently running two InterMapper (4.2.5) servers on OSX. One is the primary and the second acts as a failover. On the backup we have one map that monitors the primary server. If the primary goes down the backup server runs an applescript to load all of the maps the primary device was watching.

We have a script that currently looks after the process of ensuring the maps are identical on both devices without any problems.

The area that is causing a small niggle is that of the notification list. At the moment I can grab the InterMapper Prefs file from the primary device to ensure the notification list is up-to-date on both, however I have to restart InterMapper on the backup device in order to reload the prefs file.

Are there any plans to add a system event to InterMapper similar to that of reload probes to allow the reloading of the prefs file?

Is anybody else doing something similar with primary and backup servers and have any other thoughts on how to get around this?

Regards,
Dean
