A minor difference from previous versions I have noticed in Mac OS
X IM Remote
4.4 is that when a device goes down and I acknowledge it the cursor
focus is
in the Comments box. I normally don't add comments but simply
acknowledge a
down device after the delay for responsible people to be notified.
This
changes it's status from a red alert on charts and the Device List
to a cool
blue, but still near the top of the list.
Note: Although the Device List is listed as a new feature of IM
4.4 I have
been enjoying it for a long long time in the Mac Traditional
InterMapper and
it is the primary screen on several monitors.
Anyway, my usual work flow has been to select a down device in IM
Remote,
keystroke command-' (Acknowledge) and then return. This no longer
works and
not even Enter on the numeric keypad will close the Acknowledge
window like it
will for the Add Device, Edit Label, and other windows. Was this by
design or
an oversight? If users need to enter comments I understand but
please at least
allow Enter to close the window without having to grab the mouse!
Thanks,
The other Rich B.
The other Rich B. has already pointed this out and it has been fixed.
Look for the fix in the upcoming 4.4.1 release.
