This is what I do, more or less.

Subject: [IM-Talk] Notification Delay

I have a question about how everyone uses the Notification Delay
function.
We are using Intermapper 4.5.5.

I had setup several servers with Server Resources probes. I would like
e-mails to be sent out whenever the CPU is critical/warning at certain
levels, but only after it's been high non-stop for 5 minutes. I don't
want
tons of alerts being sent out obviously if it just spikes briefly! So I
set
the notification delay to 5 minutes. But I just realized now that if
the
server goes DOWN, it won't send an alert unless it's been down for 5
minutes. I still want the DOWN alert for my server group to be sent
immediately, but CRITICAL and WARNING alerts to wait for 5 minutes in
sustained state before alerting. Is there an easy way to accomplish
this?
Is my only option to create one notification group just for DOWN alerts,
and
mark for no delay. Then another notification group for
CRITICALS/WARNINGS/ALARMS with a 5 minute delay?

Thanks,

Michael
