Yes, there is a one-to-one mapping between notifiers and paging subscribers.
(We don't have the notion of paging groups,
although the effect of using multiple notifiers is the same.)

When you create your first notifier, set up the Paging Service(s) and add your
5 subscribers. Then, after creating the
first notifier and pointing it at the first subscriber, create four more
notifiers and point them to the remaining
subscribers.

If you want, you can then create a "Group Notifier" within InterMapper that
includes your five notifiers. The advantage
is that you only have to attach the group notifier to your device.

In short, yes. If all 5 notifiers use the same paging service, then InterMapper
will attempt to dial the paging service
once and send the pages all on the same connection (if the paging service
allows it, not all do). If the subscribers are
split between paging services which are configured to use the same modem, then
the subscribers are queued within the
second and third paging services, as they wait to access the modem.

If you have multiple modems and multiple paging services pointed at different
modems, then the pages will go out in
parallel.
