Does anyone know of a way to suppress all alerts based on a certain condition or a probe. Basically, the uplink to the Intermapper got congested with UDP traffic and lots of devices became 'invisible' to IM. IM queued up over 300 messages and after the link became available again we each got 300 messages. Now imagine if we are to use SMS for alerting. So, can I set some sort of threshold on amount of alerts that can go out in a period of time and if that number is exceeded then suppress the rest. Or maybe there is a way to setup so sort of a global vantage point, upon unreachably of which all alerts are suppressed and/or sent via a different channel or a particular group.
