Dartware is working on a network flow monitoring package called "InterMapper Flows." It will be integrated into the InterMapper RemoteAccess user interface to display the traffic from one or many flow exporters. You'll be able to click on any device on a map and see the flow information related to it. The initial release will handle Cisco Netflow v1, v5, and v9 flow packets. You will have the ability to view top-N talkers, protocols, conversations, etc. for all devices (exporters and hosts) on your maps. It is based on a third-party network packet analysis engine that currently processes thousands of packets per second (depending on hardware). InterMapper Flows will be an add-on product to InterMapper. Like our other software, you will be able to download a platform-specific package for ease of installation and configuration alongside your InterMapper server, where it will automatically be added to the RemoteAccess user interface. InterMapper Flows is scheduled for release in mid-May. Pricing has not been determined.
