Folks:
[This is a follow-up to the "probe for CDP - Cisco Discovery Protocol?" thread]
We recently created an "On-demand Table Maker" web page that creates a table
similar to the one Chris Romo submitted. It's at:
http://dartware.com/support/tech_notes/cprobes/tablemaker.html
To use it:
- On line 1, paste in the name of the table to view (it can come directly
from
the MIB)
- On line 2, enter the text between the braces of the SEQUENCE { ... }
from the
MIB. Hit Tab.
- The web page will automatically generate the on-demand table
declaration. Copy
and paste it into your probe.
Notes:
- You can try this out this using the ifTable declaration at the bottom
of the
Table Maker page.
- This demonstrates how you can use symbolic names from the MIB instead of
entering OIDs.
- You must import the MIB into InterMapper before using symbolic names.
