Hi Jeremy, The probe will alert when the first threshold in the probe file has been exceeded. It sounds like you might want to consider using Alarm Points in your custom probe. This will allow you to monitor multiple conditions within a single device and give separate, independent notifications for each. You can also acknowledge each alarm separately.
Detailed information on using Alarm Points can be found on this page: http://dartware.com/support/docs/dev/Content/02-CustomProbes/alarmpoints.htm Regards, Janice Losgar Dartware, LLC -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Jeremy Eder Sent: Wednesday, September 24, 2008 11:47 AM To: InterMapper Discussion Subject: [IM-Talk] Multiple alerts on a single device If I have a probe that is monitoring disk space and # of processes, and both thresholds have been exceeded, how does it decide which alert to display ? If there are multiple alerts on a single device, I should be able to see them all, and acknowledge them individually. Is this possible ? This leads to thoughts about adding addition device status, such as partial-acks, but it would really help us out. I have a feeling this must have been requested before, however I couldn't find it in the mailing list archive.
