Hi Manicka,
I produced the video, and Rich asked me to provide a little info on how it
was produced.
The screen captures were done with Camtasia Studio, and saved as relatively
hi-rez AVI files. The video was edited using Sony Vegas Video Pro (my
primary audio editing app and an excellent video editor). The narration was
recorded and edited in Vegas. The edited video was then rendered to an AVI
file at the correct size for the Flash file. Finally, Camtasia was used to
create the Flash movie with TOC.
The titles were mostly done in PowerPoint and saved as PNG files. Some of
the titles were done with Vegas, while the blue banner was created with
PowerPoint, put into Vegas, the opacity reduced, then saved as a PNG file to
save CPU cycles and rendering time. That file was then used as a layer over
which the title was laid. The schematic was created in PowerPoint.
To make it flow better with the narration, the screen capture video was
edited significantly,
and the narration was slipped around to complement the movements.
Let me know if you have more questions.
Best regards,
Bob Merrill

Subject: [IM-Talk] InterMapper Flows 1.0 is now available
Folks:
It is with considerable pride that Dartware announces the availability of
InterMapper
Flows 1.0. This is a NetFlow traffic analyzer that is integrated directly
into
InterMapper.
With InterMapper Flows, you can see not only when traffic is high, but who
is
sending it and what they're using it for. It will collect NetFlow "flow
records"
and make the traffic statistics available simply by right-clicking on a
device
in an InterMapper map.
InterMapper Flows is an add-on to InterMapper. Just download it from the
page
below, and install it on the same computer as your current InterMapper
server.
Existing InterMapper customers can purchase the InterMapper Flows add-on. It
is
priced by the number of devices you monitor: check the Pricing page listed
below.
There's link to the on-line store as well.
As always, Dartware appreciates the comments, suggestions, and bug fixes
that
are submitted by its loyal customers and testers. The remainder of this note
describes
how to download and use it.
Best regards,
Rich Brown
