This is unfortunately a known issue. The Intel XServe expects a slightly different authentication protocol than other IPMI protocol implementations. With the latest LOM firmware, IM no longer auto-detects the XServe correctly. This issue is partially mitigated in version 5.0.6b1, but you may want to wait until next week for 5.0.6b4 to be released. Version 5.0.6b4 also fixes an issue where the IPMI probe worked against the 1st LOM interface but failed to recognize the 2nd LOM interface.
