Folks: A new version of InterMapper 5.0.6 is available. This final, official release is recommended to all customers, and is a free upgrade for anyone with a current maintenance contract. It contains some enhancements and a few bug fixes. Please see the Release Notes for a complete list.
- Added support for a "users" command in the Telnet server. This command lists all users in the system, and lets you remove users, if desired. - Added support for the ALLOW-LOOPS and IFINDEX-BUG probe flags in custom SNMP probes. - Fixed the incorrect error response in the DNS-PTR Query probe. - Improved reliability of IPMI code when probing Intel XServe. Added a "dialect" parameter to the IPMI probe to support toggling between XServe and "Other" modes. - Improved drag-and-drop behavior in Enabled Maps pane. - The IMDC service no longer crashes sometimes during a restart or shutdown on Windows. - Adjusted the position of chart titles in the web interface so they no longer overlap the axis markers. - IMFlows serial numbers can be submitted via the InterMapper Server Settings -> Registration panel. - Fixed a bug that could cause crashes or assert failures when telnet or web clients are using the authentication server. - Fixed a bug that may have resulted in ICMP packets being discarded inadvertently in the Windows version. - Fixed situation where corrupted output could appear in the Host Resources probe status window if InterMapper couldn't set the "locale" to native for proper formatting.
