Jefferson, It isn't yet possible to configure per-interface thresholds. There is a user-contributed probe (High Traffic Probe) on our website that will provide a notification when traffic on a certain port/interface exceeds thresholds and give alarms when that interface goes down. However, it will not provide a way to configure thresholds for interface errors and discards. You still may want to have a look at it. There are actually two of them, one that measures in packets-per-second and one that measures in bytes-per-second.
http://dartware.com/support/users/probes.html/#hightrafficpps I will submit your request for per-interface thresholds to the developers as an enhancement request. Is there any way to configure per-interface thresholds. I've got a device that keeps seeing a large number of RX errors on a particular interface. I'd like to raise the threshold for that interface, but not the whole device. (I think the problem is an old device that's connected to those interfaces that will be retired soon.) -- Thank You Jefferson Cowart Network and Systems Administrator Claremont University Consortium ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
