This is normal. A custom SNMP probe will always query the interface statistics unless you explicitly specify the MINIMAL flag. Your custom probe variables should be requested after the ifTable counters. > The status window shows all the Display variables, but displays them at 0. > Its almost like they are not being probed, yet the Probe time in the status > window is being updated. The OIDS work fine when using snmget from the > command line. Your probe file looks okay to me. You might try changing the variable types from INTEGER to DEFAULT. The DEFAULT type will automatically set the varaible type based on the type of SNMP variable received. If you are receiving strings or floats back, they may be displayed with DEFAULT, but not with INTEGER. Check your Event log for any errors in loading the probe. Also, check the Server Debug log (Help -> Diagnostics) for any warning messages. It is possible to show more logging; you might turn on SNMP OID Errors or one of the other SNMP logging options listed under Help/Diagnostics. -- Bill Fisher Dartware, LLC ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected]
