InterMapper will: - Group a number of probes for an IP address into a single icon - Add new probes to an existing collection - Ungroup the icons (individually, or all the members) - Save a collection by name, so that it can be used in the Set Probe... window - Poll each member probe at its own rate, with its own settings - Reflect the most serious condition of all the member probes in the icon's color - Get notifications when the entire collection has a problem - Get (separate) notifications when a member probe has a problem - Handle dependencies - if the "governor" probe (provisional name) is down, no notifications will be sent for any other member probes. - Show SNMP device and interface information based on the choice of "governor" probe. We are now testing an internal development version, and will be looking for a group of testers who are willing to try out *alpha-test* software (it's pre-beta, it's still got some bugs, it's not for use as a production system.)
