I cannot seem to find any docs on built in functions for custom
probes. I found information on "CALCULATION", but I may need a
little more than that.
I have an IP address of a device. I can get it's MAC via arp tables,
but of course returned as a hex 11.22.33.aa.bb.cc. To get variables
out of the SNMP tree, I need to retrieve via the decimal based mac
address (as in something like 17.34.51.170.187.204). Then I need to
tack on all sorts of numbers on front (or behind) and grab those SNMP
variables.
I can do all this with a commandline probe with no problem, but I
would like the device name to update automatically, which can't be
done (at this time) via commandline probes, only snmp.
Any Ideas?
