Ok, this is weird. We recall that it used to work by just typing http://intermapper. I mean redirect us to the main WAN map page that we use.
In fact I just called a school site and had them clear their cache, restart IE and type http://intermapper. It worked, they were redirected to the WAN map. But... If I do the same from my computer I get the Intermapper - Error page. Aha!! We have figured it out... Sort of. Administrators are getting the Intermapper-Error page, but users are getting our main WAN map page. This is what we want for users, but we don't know why it's happening. We just created a user, made them an administrator and sure enough, when they type http://Intermapper they now get the error page. Remove them from admins and they get the WAN map page. http://Intermapper, used to work (go to WAN map) as well. So... 1) it appear that users CAN be auto redirected to a specific map (it's working) but we don't know why 2) administrators used to be redirected as well and that is *not* working Ed -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Janice Losgar Sent: Thursday, May 14, 2009 10:41 AM To: InterMapper Discussion Subject: Re: [IM-Talk] default web page On 5/14/2009 10:31 AM, Konowal, Ed wrote: > How do I defaulthttp://intermapper to a particular map so my users > can just type intermpper and get there. > ________________________________________ Ed, You can set a default page for admin users only: http://forums.dartware.com/viewtopic.php?t=33 -- Best regards, Janice Losgar Dartware, LLC 603)643-9600 x114 ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected]
