Hi,

We had a similar issue (processing/summarising backup emails to generate a
probe status), if you're using Exchange, I highly recommend the Outlook
Redemption dll (http://www.dimastr.com/redemption/). I've coded this into a vb
probe and it parses a specific email folder and sets the probe status
accordingly.

Cheers,
Ben.

Subject: [IM-Talk] Email Probes

Our Alarm monitoring company send us emails to notify us of alarm changes in
our data center. They have no way of sending snmp traps or allowing us to poll
snmp.

Is there any way for Intermapper to alarm based on received emails? It would
need to parse the email and decide if it's a Clear/Warning or Critical alarm.

Happy to write my own system to do this, but would prefer to use something
that's supported and well used in the community.

Many Regards,
