Hi Janice, So that I may understand correctly; when the '...update Interface names...' is fully implemented, the 'Exporters -->Interfaces' menu will automatically show a name associated with the index #.
If so, what snmp variable will be used to populate those names? This is a great enhancement which will save lots of time and frustration, especially when the interfaces change!!! Only ARIN addresses resolve to an end user. - Oddly, No US flag is displayed for: 69.162.224.0/19 *** I'll discuss both these issues with the engineers and get back to you. - Interfaces in exporter list show only snmp index number. No names shown in the Intermapper "interfaces" dialog either so maybe if no name is available then description would be appropriate? *** The work to support this feature has been implemented in Flows 1.2b1, but the developers need to do some work on the InterMapper server to support this. I'll let you know when a build of InterMapper is available to fully support this feature. Any chance ASN will be added to host lists and be available for search functions? -- Ben asked this same question today, and I have submitted this as a feature request to the Flows developers, under ticket number 75179. -- Best regards, Janice Losgar Dartware, LLC 603)643-9600 x114 ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected] ____________________________________________________________________ List archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/intermapper-talk%40list.dartware.com/ To unsubscribe: send email to: [email protected]
