David, SSL is giving me the same response:
"Reason: [LDAP] Found 0 matches for "Vin"" (Using full cn name here) Does this mean that it is successfully querying active directory, but just not finding the name? I don't have OpenLDAP installed, but I'm using the path to the user's OU as the search base if I understand your question. Vin David Schnur Mon, 05 Oct 2009 10:11:00 -0700 Hi Vin, I'm not an expert on AD configuration, but I believe AD can be set up to restrict searches depending on the type of authentication used to connect. InterMapper's LDAP probe uses basic authentication, while Microsoft's tools probably use GSS-SPNEGO (Kerberos). Try using the LDAP (SSL) probe, since AD greatly prefers SSL-encrypted connections when using basic auth. If that doesn't work, what exactly are you searching for, and what 'Search Base' have you set in the probe? What happens when you use something like the OpenLDAP client to run the search, rather than ADSI Edit?
