Hi Bernd -

Thanks for the feedback -- this is just the sort of thing I'm after.

I hadn't considered the visible/hidden interfaces, but I'm sure it can be
handled. I'll add that to the list of requirements.

Re: connected device? Yeah - I can see how that would be useful. Doesn't
seemed to be in the Interfaces Export. I'm just skimming it right now, so
maybe it's there. If anyone knows how this is possible, I'd love the
pointer.

Visually I guess Dartware link things up by the subnet 'cloud' to get around
that -- so that may be a compromise: show all devices in the same
subnet/etc. The NetworkId attribute seems to be the common thread there, so
I'll see what I can do.

A question though: I assert that users probably don't want to use the iPhone
interface for 'in-depth' intermapper work... E.g. It's a "what's wrong"
tool, which you use to find out how bad a problem is/etc.

So with that in mind (if you agree), I suggest you wouldn't want to see
every (visible) interface when you browse a device. So what criteria would
be relevant to have them in the focus list?
- status (e.g. Down)
- utilisation? Does this need to be a configurable threshold?

And what do you wish to see about an interface? On the summary list (say on
the Device Detail page) and on the Interface Detail screen?

Would you want to see interfaces independent of a device? E.g. Is a
dedicated tab needed? OR would you only check interfaces if a device showed
an alarm. And again - what info should be shown there?

----

I've added you to my beta testers list, and will get in touch hopefully in
around 2-3 weeks.

Thanks again for the feedback.

/Mark
