I'm trying to match a string in a custom snmp probe:

warning: $display =~ ".*(Sleeping).*" "Printer is " + ${1}
The above works perfectly fine! But:
Code:
warning: $display =~ ".*(Sleeping|Printing).*" "Printer is " + ${1}
is not working? Why? Is alternation, like in
http://perldoc.perl.org/perlretut.html#Matching-this-or-that described not
implemented?
