A couple of weeks ago we went from a medium database to a large database. At first, InterMapper Flows was indicating there were over 14,000 days total in the database. Since Monday, InterMapper Flows is reporting a more realistic number, ~15 days in database, when I chart yesterday's activity, only ~5.5 hours of the last 13 hours is charted. (I am charting at 07:30 for the previous day, from 10/19/10 00:00 to 10/20/10 00:00. There is no data for the time period 10/19/10 00:00 to about 14:30 the same day.
There is about ~6 hours in memory, so there is some data in the database for yesterday. However, if I chart back in time 18 hours, no data is found at all beyond the 13 hours. The database information indicates it is currently holding 245,210,335 sessions and that represents ~15 days in the database. We have one exporter that is working. I am graphing activity from 07:30 to 12:30 intermittently through the day. This behavior was first noticed on Monday 2010/10/20, and there was an issue first thing that morning. On Monday morning, InterMapper Flows was reporting "cannot connect to database". I stopped and restarted InterMapper and the problem persisted. I then rebooted the server (RedHat Linux 2.6.18-164.10.1.el5) and then I was able to get into InterMapper Flows. The graphs for Monday & Tuesday's activities are nearly identical, with no data prior to ~14:30. I am certain data was being collected and graphed for the affected days at different times between 07:30 and 12:30. When attempting to graph the last 5 days, there is data up until approximately 17:00 on Saturday. There is no data between that time and yesterday (Tuesday 19th) at 13:00. I do have charts that I generated on Tuesday morning for Monday the 18th that shows activity between 15:00 to 24:00. This activity does not appear in current graphs. >From my perspective, it appears InterMapper is only holding ~15 hours of >current data in total. Any ideas?
