No, the "Map Device As" setting in the Set Behavior dialog only controls
how InterMapper treats the subnets in adjacent network ovals. The new
Layer 2 features in 5.4 don't rely on the "Map Device As: Switch"
setting. (If that makes any sense...)
When you set the "Map Device As" setting to "Switch", you are telling
InterMapper that is okay to take the subnets on one interface and
"flood" them to all the other interfaces on that switch that have the
same vlan (pvid). I am guessing that you see "false" subnets because
InterMapper incorrectly thinks that your route-only Layer3 "virtual"
interfaces use the same pvid.
