Thanks for your response.  I am actually writing an SNMP Agent which requires 
InterMapper to send me a "ID" (a OctetString) which I use to provide a proper 
response for a InterMapper custom-snmp probe.

Hi,

As far as I know, snmp-get can Only read existing data.
If you need to Set a variable, you need to issue an snmp-write command first.
