I have also requested this as other monitoring solutions do have this
option. This is very helpful when monitoring 24x7 and a device just needs to
be probed to clear

Subject: [IM-Talk] Feature Request: aggresive polling on fail

I think I have mentioned this before, but I would find great value in having
the ability to have the option to activate an aggressive polling on items
reported as "down". This way if tower 342 reports as down, it will then go
to a 5 sec poll until reported as up- then returning to it's normal polling
interval. This would help use know a more accurate downtime as well as save
time in re-probing items.

This could be as simple as having a checkbox under the polling interval
settings for the server for "aggressive on down" polling, and then a
pull-down box for that interval to be used.

Thanks-
