I have also requested this as other monitoring solutions do have this option. This is very helpful when monitoring 24x7 and a device just needs to be probed to clear

This way if tower 342 reports as down, it will then go to a 5 sec poll until reported as up- then returning to it's normal polling interval. This would help use know a more accurate downtime as well as save time in re-probing items. This could be as simple as having a checkbox under the polling interval settings for the server for "aggressive on down" polling, and then a pull-down box for that interval to be used.
