I am getting into a new area with creating a probe.
1. The last value of an IOD determine which actual unit I am interested in. It can change for different configurations, So I would like to put something into the parameters section to input the particular IOD I am looking for. Example. For the specific probe I am creating, the unit is considered in slot 1. so the oid I am looking for is 1.3.6.1.4.1.32050.2.1.25.3.1 is there a way to have the last 1 be input from a parameters section. so when I am working in the snmp-device-variables section, it would use 1.3.6.1.4.1.32.050.2.1.25.3.module# 2. The actual values I am looking for are in a table that is dynamic based on which module is before it. The table has a Slot value and pos value. The two combined would give me what I am looking for slot= module# pos = 2 = that would always give me what I want. how would this be put into the snmp-device-variables section. I get the feeling these are basic questions that I would be happy to read about, I am just not sure where to start with the reading. --------------------------------------------- Scott Piehn JCWIFI.com Division Manager Computer Dynamics 451 W.
