Hey Bill!

We make heavy use of IM and the helper apps and double-click actions as sort
of a "menu" of support actions for our service desk.
I guess I'm trying to make an object on the map to do stuff sometimes not
related to the network per se.

I wanted to say, place an icon on the map and be able to assign it a helper
app.
You can do that in IM Remote, but not in the web view and we need something
that works in both views.

In this case about using an URL - your idea about placing it in the comment
field works great!
IM Remote users can double-click and get the launch URL app to run.
Web users have to click the object and then click the URL in the Comment
field.

We will certainly use this until a more direct method is developed.

Thanks for the great support!

The double-click action does work in the web interface. The only caveat is
that the cursor does not change to indicate a clickable link when the
network object is empty. You can still double-click, but it requires that
JavaScript be enabled.

An alternative is to put the link in the Comment field. URL's in comments in
the status window are automatically converted to HTML on the web.
