Hi All,

I'm kind of stumped at the moment, so I thought i'd throw this out to the list.

We have a IM Remote Access on Ubuntu work station plugged into a TV via HMDI so
the whole department can see/access.
The problem I've just run into is that this machine's audio works just fine for
everything but Remote Access.

When I test the default sounds notifier, the logs and client debug looks fine -
it thinks it has played the sound. I have a feeling that Remote Access is
trying to use the onboard sound card (card0) instead of the through the HDMI
card (card1 - on the gfx card).

So I disabled the onboard audio via the BIOS so there would only be 1 sound
card found in the OS, and sounds within the OS worked as per normal, but now in
the Remote Access preferences the option to play sound notifications is greyed
out and not selectable. The yahoo.au<http://yahoo.au> and
klaxon.au<http://klaxon.au> sound files play perfectly through the built in
music player.

Has anyone come across this problem at all before ? Any help would be
appreciated.

Thanks!

Ubuntu 11.04 X86_64
IM Remote Access 5.4.5
