Just a thought for my InterMapper Wishlist.

I would like to be able to assign levels of Vantage Points to devices on a map.

For example, I have a map that contains a Firewall, a Router, some switches,
and a device.

I would like to assign the Firewall a value of Zero, the Router a Value of One,
the switches and dependent device a value of Two.

- If the firewall goes down, I only want one message that the firewall
is down. I do not need to know that I can no longer communicate with the
router, switches or devices.

- If the router goes down, I only want one message that the router is
down. I do not need to know that I can no longer communicate with the switches
or devices.

- If a switch goes down, I want to know what switch went down along
with what devices/services attached to the switch are affected.
