I am using InterMapper 5.4.5 on a Red Hat Linux server (2.6.18-164.10.1.el5 #1 SMP) with IM Remote Access 5.4.5 on a Windows 7 Workstation.
I would like to add hundreds of Wireless Access Points to my InterMapper Maps. When you add a device, it would be nice if InterMapper intelligently sets "Resolve name to update address" to enabled if the device being added uses a hostname. Failing that, when adding a device or list of device it would be nice to be able to enable either "Resolve name to update address" or "Resolve address to update name" as the devices are being added. It seems that if one or more devices are added specifying a hostname, that the hostname is resolved to an IP Address, and "Resolve address to update name" is enabled. When the device is a device using DHCP, an additional step is required to manually set the address to "Resolve name to update address" for every device. You cannot change this setting on a group of devices. This is a major pain when hundreds of devices that are being added are DHCP'ing their addresses, and the addresses change.
