I second that. We are getting too many trap entries in the event log. If
multiple device on the map share the same IP, a single trap will
generate multiple trap events in the log, (one for each device with the
same IP address) which further "pollutes" causing it to grow very fast.

We're currently using "multitail" (http://www.vanheusden.com/multitail/)
to parse the Event Log and set colors to "up" "down" "critical" etc. 

InterMapper is currently logging "incoming traps" (this fills up the
window with crap when a trap arrives) and "ntfy" (sms, email and default
sounds events).

When a trap arrives, the window fills up and you're missing the log
entry from the trap-probe i've created.

Is it possible to just forward the relevant information to a new log
file? If not, this would be a very nice feature to have.
