This is a known limitation. I suggest using the reflection classes to
work around this.
class foo {
static function bar() {
print "static method!\n";
}
}
$class = 'foo';
$method = 'bar';
$x = new ReflectionMethod($class, $method);
$x->invoke(NULL);
