Well, I don't know if there has been any progress for static properties of internal classes. I can understand if there has not been yet, but it would be a pity to leave that out for 5.1 though. I know, unfortunately I'm the only one bashing on this piece of the engine :) Additionally I didn't see the instanceof change comitted to 5.1 as Andi suggested, so is this gonna happen?
