Interview Mode: Phone then Face to Face The manager referred to this as an IP CAD management position. Managing IP design drawings of chip designs. Job Description RESPONSIBILITIES: • Utilize experience and skills on Unix shell/Perl scripting and understanding of RTL/Verilog/Spice/Net list/Synthesis/GDS/OASYS to debug issues and architect solutions. • Lead and support processes and applications related to H/W IP management across the enterprise. Develop roadmap of solution portfolio by engaging with stakeholders and delivering and supporting solutions. • Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis. • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs. • Proactively communicate and collaborate with customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: Functional requirements, Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs, Test cases and Test logs etc. • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously & work independently with users to define concepts and solutions. • Strong analytical and technical skills required, including a thorough understanding of EDA tools in ASIC/SOC design flows and interpretation of engineering needs and translate them into application and operational requirements. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, engineers and subject matter experts. • Collaborate with analysts and developers (in house and offshore) and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs. • Take ownership of a platform, module or subsytem and become the go-to person for all interactions. Be available 24x7 in case of Severity 1 issues that may impact the engineering flow. Job Requirements QUALIFICATIONS: • 8-10 years of experience in Systems Analysis, Software Development, Unix Shell/Perl Scripting with deep exposure to ASIC Chip Design. • Bachelor or Masters Degree in MIS or Engineering or equivalent • Domain experience (SME) and knowledge of "concept-to-tapeout" chip design processes and methodologies and applicable automation tools. • Experience/skill on Unix shell/Perl scripting and understanding of RTL/Verilog/Spice/Net list/Synthesis/GDS/OASYS. • Excellent knowledge of H/W Intellectual Property (IP) and its application in ASIC chip design process. • Experience with Design Data Management CAD tools in semiconductor domain preferred. • Demonstrated capability of engaging with chip design teams to create automation solutions that increases productivity, efficiency and visibility. • Essential experience of automating processes in semiconductor design automation such as LINT, LVS, LEF, DEF, Pin Checks, ECO, PNR, Compliers etc. via Perl, C++, Unix Shell tools. • SDLC experience on web applications with database and scripts backend. Preference for technical/development background on Web2.0/.NET/MSSQL/Windows/Perl/Unix. • Demonstrated experience with supporting critical enterprise applications 24/7. • High proficiency with project management methods to support multiple projects, including gathering budget information, reporting on project status, and coordinating activities to ensure timely delivery. • Requires excellent communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to communicate with customers, vendors, management, etc. in both formal and informal situations. • Ability to handle high levels of responsibility, self-directed, with strong organizational and project management skills. |
