Skills Required and Job Description:

Candidate will support Linux and Unix in a lab environment - NOT a production environment • In-charge of doing Unix administration work, along with some Data Center work like racking cabling etc - they refer to this as small scale data center work/ network admin work;   thus, it's a cross between Unix, data center and network admin work • NOT looking for an Expert – instead, more of a generalist in the mentioned areas Required experiences: • UNIX • UNIX SHELL Scripting • AS400 • Dell SAN Technology • HPUX • TCP/IP  •Infrastructure Architecture • Network Administration Technical Skills • Installing, configuring, and maintaining Unix / Linux servers, networks, and clusters OS administration skills in: Red Hat Linux (Mandatory) HP-UX (Mandatory) Sun Solaris Unix (Highly Desired) AIX Unix (Highly Desired) AS400 (Desired, but not mandatory) Virtualization tools (ex: VMWare & Hyper-V) HP OpenView and other performance monitoring tools SAN technologies (able to install, manage, and provision storage) Shell scripting Network hardware and standards Datacenter infrastructure and standards TCP/IP protocols
