Job Description:-
- We have an immediate opening for a Lead Software Quality Assurance Engineer.
- We are looking for an enthusiastic problem-solver who will lead the effort of building the custom automation framework(s) for API testing and GUI testing.
- This position will report to the QA Manager and work with the other leads to identify the requirements, define the solution, and execute the QA plan.
- The lead engineer is also expected to provide mentorship to other QA team members.
Job Overview:-
- Lead the effort for projects that involve both front-end and back-end in eCommerce environment.
- Develop and implement QA test plans for manual and automated tests
- Develop high quality test cases
- Analyze performance reports and identify bottlenecks. .
- Work with developers for code review and test case review
- Work with developers to debug and troubleshoot code
- Work with business analysts to clarify requirements and build test plans.
- Work with the Release Manager for test complete in each environment for multiple projects.
- Work with the project team to continually improve the QA process and drive product quality throughout the software development life cycle.
Requirements:-
- 6+ years of Software Quality Assurance/Testing experience
- 4+ years of automation experience
- Must have strong understanding of SDLC and QA process.
- Must have strong database skills
- Must have strong working knowledge on web service architecture
- Must have good communication skills and leadership.
- Experience in a dynamic ecommerce environment
- Proficiency in the following technologies: PHP, Ruby/ Ruby on Rails, Groovy
- BS in Computer Science
- MS in Computer science is a plus
Assets:-
- Agile developer experience
- Experience with LAMP
- Experience with CI tools
- Extensive RESTful web services testing.
- Hands-on experience in programming with Selenium RC (Webdriver), Groovy Scripts, Ruby/Ruby on Rails, PHP or Java
- Experience in analyzing monitoring reports: (Splunk, Keynote, Gomez, Nagios, etc)
- Experience in managing/setting-up cloud based test environments.
- Experience creating plug-in and add-ins for tool integration. (SoapUI, Redmine, Jira, Testrail, etc)
- Performance and load testing experience
