Hardware includes t series servers, m series servers and various *sun fire v890, v490, v240, v210* servers *using Oracle/Sun* partition and virtualization technology. · 84 + months experience in *Configuration, performance analysis, tune*, and troubleshoot Oracle/Sun servers utilizing Solaris’s native *MPxIO, Logical Volume Manager, ZFS, Oracle ASM* with a large Enterprise-Class SAN · 84 + months experience with Application/ Middleware Integration for Solaris for either customer application software working with customer support staff or common off the shelf software. This includes preforming performance analysis, and hardware recommendation. · 84 + months experience working with other groups as part of the server team. Familiar with tools like MS project, visio, excel, and word to produce technical documentation including dataflow diagram · 60 + months experience as technical Lead on IT Projects · 60 + months administrating, tune and troubleshoot OS network-related tasks including troubleshooting server/application communications in a multi-homed server environment on a secure multi-tiered network using OS and/or 3rd party tools. *Qualifications* The candidate will be responsible for advance level of technical Support in an enterprise Oracle Solaris environment that supports various applications including ldap, OSOS, DNS, Careerzone, siteminder, peoplsoft elms , hcm, Oracle Data Bases for a number of state agencies. Work with customer application groups on application software installation, configuration, troubleshoot, performance analysis, and hardware recommendation. The candidate will function as a single point of contact between the customer, other support teams, and vendors. Provide on-call, third-level support for OFT Oracle/SUN server environment. 1. Installation, configuration, tune, audit, patch Solaris operating systems 9 thru 11 using Oracle/SUN partition and virtualization technology on M5000, M4000, T2000, T5140, T3-2, T3-4, v890, v490, v240, v210 servers. 2. Configuration, performance analysis, tune, and troubleshoot Oracle/Sun servers utilizing Solaris’s native MPxIO, Sun Logical Volume Manager, ZFS, Oracle ASM with a large Enterprise-Class Storage Area Network . SAN storage consists of IBM SVC, 8000 series, XIV storage systems and EMC NAS NS480 and VNX storage systems utilizing nfs and/iscsi. 3. Installation, configuration and support of Jumpstart, Automated installer, Flare and zfs snapshots for backups, crash recovery and system images 4. Application/Middleware Integration for Solaris for either customer application software working with customer support staff or common off the shelf software. This includes preforming performance analysis, and hardware recommendation. (ex: LDAP, siteminder, dns, oracle database 9, 10, 11, peoplesoft elms, HCM, Oracle Enterprise Manager 10 & 11, Apache, Tivoli Storage Manager(TSM), Tivoli monitoring, Tivoli Workload Scheduler) 5. OS network-related administration tasks, including configuration, and troubleshooting of network interfaces, static routes, nic teaming (auto port aggregation), dns, nfs, ntp, ssh, ssl, sendmail and snmp. 6. Assist with troubleshooting server/application communications on a secure multi-tiered network using OS or 3rd party tools (ex: wireshark, netstat, snoop, lsof). In-depth knowledge of networks: IP (both TCP and UDP), subnetting, routing, vlans, firewalls is required. 7. Technical Lead on IT Projects and/or worked with other groups as part of project team. Familiar with tools like MS project, visio, excel, and word to produce technical documentation including dataflow diagrams. 8. Perl, Bourne and Korn shell scripting in support of system tasks. 9. Familiar with other OS’s ex.
