*Overview*:

The IA works closely with the client and a design team. S/he leads audience
research and is responsible for interpreting the results of the research
and making design recommendations. The IA establishes the experience design
structure that will inform all subsequent aspects of the final design and
development including organizational and navigational paradigms/metaphors,
information taxonomy, contents and features for each screen and priority of
those contents, and overall content schema

*Responsibilities:*
- Collaborate with a team of other information architects, visual
designers, editors, prototypers, researchers and usability specialists to
tackle complex projects of varying size
- Serve as the client’s primary point of contact for the overall user
experience design process
- Develop and/or participate in the development of user personas and
scenarios
- Create robust design documentation at the various stages of design,
including but not limited to personas, wireframes, prototypes, scenarios,
task flows, story boarding
- Create user requirement documentation including use cases, storyboards,
flowcharts/process flows, and functional specs
- Recommend and prepare audience research approach
- Create research tools, such as surveys, questionnaires, and test scripts
necessary to conduct research
- Conduct research activities, such as contextual inquiries and
observations, one-to-one interviews, workshops, focus groups, diary/journal
exercises, field studies, etc.
- Conduct heuristic evaluations and competitive audits of digital tools,
including but not limited to business applications, websites, mobile
applications, and identify areas for improvement in design
- Compile, analyze and document findings of the research and identify
patterns and trends
- Make design recommendations as a result of research
- Present findings and recommendations to clients
- Partner with our development team to ensure technical feasibility and
flawless implementation

*Requirements:*
- Able to work on and/or own all facets of experience design across a wide
range of projects. Facets include:
- Contributing to/developing approach materials
- Moderation/facilitation
- Analysis, findings, and recommendations

- Able to manage and mentor junior members of the team
- Able to manage up/down/across a hierarchy (e.g., delegate to Associate
Experience Architects and Experience Architects effectively, communicate
appropriately to Strategist and clients)
- Ability to moderate an interface test and strategic sessions effectively
- Perceived as SME and primary presenter of ‘their’ work  - internal and
external
- Familiarity with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research
tools: interviews, cognitive walkthroughs, surveys, contextual observation,
etc.
- Working knowledge of prototyping tools, Axure preferred
- Ability to think conceptually as well as tactically and tangibly
- Strong written, verbal and visual communication skills
- The ability to multi-task and deliver under aggressive deadlines
- The ability to work in a collaborative environment.
- 5 years relevant User Experience Design or Human Factors experience
preferably in a consulting environment.

Looking for a motivated and seasoned software engineer to contribute to
developing the high-quality infrastructure components.  This Developer will
need to work independently to research code, recommend and document
technical design strategies, develop, unit test, and work with Environment
groups to integrate and support changes from development to test to
production environments.  Our group develops Authorization infrastructure
software components that are the backbone for many applications supporting
web business applications.

*Primary Responsibilities:*
- Working on various small, medium and large scale projects to modify a
complex Web Infrastructure.
- Research code to understand how existing infrastructure works and
recommend designs to address changes.  Document technical alternatives and
recommend strategy.
- Unit test and support code during QA testing phase.
- Provide environment support as code moves through development,
integration, acceptance and production environments.
- Should be willing and able to work with various technologies and
programming languages.
- Be involved throughout the project’s lifecycle with the project team.
- Work independently and under little supervision / guidance
*Environment*
- Our products use Java/J2EE, C++, C#, SQL and run on AIX, Solaris, Unix &
Windows
- Candidate must be familiar with SOA concepts, data driven presentation
and multithreading concepts.
- Development tools include Eclipse and Rational Application Developer
- Use Clear Case as a source control tool
- Secure login Web Infrastructure components
