*Position Title:* Onsite QA Lead *Location:* Lawrenceville, NJ *Duration:* 6 months *Mode of Hire:* TP *Mandatory Domain:* Media and Publishing *Key Words to search:* IP Testing, Automation testing *Job Description:* · Gather new requirements for different modules, drawing. · Gather new requirements for different modules, drawing out a plan for releases of the enhancements for the application requested by the users and planning work for subsequent releases. · Creating Test design docs for new enhancements and Hotfixes for the existing system. · Defining Test Methodology to carry out the test schedule. · Regular interaction with the offshore team manager/leads as well as Technical Managers, System Administration experts and Quality Assurance using the proprietary tools of HCL. · Interacting with onsite and offshore team in resolving their problems. · Using the move-up process to ensure work is reflected in production systems · Preparing and sending out the weekly status report to the client and HCL managers. · Preparation of System Integration Test Strategy Document in consultation with the onsite team and system engineers in the customer site. · Ensuring that the delivered test artifacts confirms to the customer requirements and agreed quality standards. · Perform Requirement based testing using the test equipment. · To follow up on escalations and issues with clients and onsite managers. · Addressing and fixing critical customer defects · Requirement validation of subsequent phases · Preparation of quality documents like Traceability, Test Summary, Daily Status, Run Plan and day to day delivery of test execution. · Preparing and analyzing the weekly performance report of the product for different global markets and sharing the same with the business management team. *Requirements and Technical Skills:* - Write automated test scripts to reduce test time for regression test cases. - Provide technical support for offshore testers. - Attend meetings for sprint planning, and report testing status - Support production maintenance windows such as Channel Lineup deployments. - Writing and running load test scripts - Manual and automated testing using rest end point URLs. - Troubleshoot by analyzing server log files. - Understanding of backend services, ability to troubleshoot client/server problems. - Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to pay attention to details and be organized - Ability to project a professional image over the phone and in person - Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment - Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects - Strong organizational skills and attention to details - Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast paced environment *Other Skills:* - Charles web proxy or other proxy tools to perform integration testing. - Proficient developing in Java/Python/C#/Perl or similar languages. - Strong experience in computer networking - Knowledge in SSL Certs/Cookies/LSO/HTTP Headers/Cache Control header. - Ability to research via web for solving complex/technical issues. - Knowledge of Akamai configuration. Experience with load balancer is plus. - Experience working with JBOSS. - Strong comprehension of Software Development Life Cycle and Configuration Management including Agile Scrum; - Strong experience in testing backend systems in a client-server environment; - Strong comprehension of Automated Testing Implementation and Strategies; - Strong skills with Excel is a plus - Multi-platform experience (Windows / Unix / Linux). - Nice to have skills include: SQL Querying skills, experience in test management tools such as Jira.
