*Position :SENIOR LEVEL JAVA DEVELOPER* *Location : Downtown,Chicago* *Interview : Phone or Skype * *Duration : 6-Month* *Must Have Skills:* *1) Java/spring integration* *2) multi-threading* *SUMMARY:* The main responsibility of the Senior Java developer is developing, implementing, and providing support for planned and existing data integration solutions using an in house framework using *J2EE/QuickFix, RabbitMQ, Gemfire and Oracle.* We are looking for someone who can come up to speed quickly on a wide variety of systems, and who has the ability to quickly identify production issues and provide solutions. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* Handle development tasks using the *Java Spring framework* Provides technical expertise on data exposure and delivery requests Liaises with Infrastructure, eSolutions, Middleware teams to ensure proper application configurations and hardware performance efficiencies Employs industry standard best practices for integration patterns Provides level three support during zonal business hours (24 X 6) when on call Involved with the review and submission of all solution designs Establishes regular code reviews tied to on-going component development Cross train junior members of the global team to drive efficiency and performance Implement tools and practices in order to foster a more collaborative work environment. *REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:* *10+ years* of professional experience with the Java platform including previous experience as Technical Lead/Architect (30% architecture/70% development). Experience with interfacing with teams (development, business analysis) located in other regions. Very strong autonomy required. *5+ years* of design, analysis (experience conceptualizing and maneuvering through cascading dependencies) and application support experience. *5+ years* of experience at least one of the Java Spring framework *5 years* of experience with relational databases including Oracle, SQL Server. *3 years* of experience with Ajax development: *JQuery, Dojo, GWT (Google Web Toolkit) and Eclipse development*. Experience with Messaging protocol (JMS) and products such as *IBM MQ Series, AMQP.* *2 years* of experience with development life cycle products such as SVN, CVS, Maven, Hudson. Familiar with *Tomca*t web servers. 3 years of *UNIX* experience including basic administration skills. Strong autonomy and interpersonal skills Strong knowledge of the post trade derivatives chain (trade flow, allocations, reconciliations, trade and position management) Strong knowledge of *Quickfix, FIX/FIXML (v4 to 5*) *DESIRED EXPERIENCE:* 2+ year of Project management experience (ability to provide work estimates and schedule tasks plan accordingly).
