For business analyst background candidate: must have strong skills in large dataset manipulations for financial analysis, data mining or statistical modeling; • Must have good understandings of Dimensional Modeling • Strong SQL Skills *Responsibilities:* Perform Transaction loss, Fraud and Credit risk related analysis. Support PayPal Risk users or data scientists for their data exploration, analysis and research, Risk assessment and Risk decisioning. Work with data architects and engineers to create offline data products –data-warehouse or Hadoop based solutions. The typical process for creating offline data products starts with initial ideation and includes analysis/research, prototyping, requirement documentation, design, development, QA, deployment and UAT. Capture business requirement and produce technical requirement for backend data processing and delivery. Bridge business users and the technology organizations. Lead collaborations and discussions among cross-functional teams for effective solution-building or issue-resolutions. Starting with business questions, leverage strong analytical skills, critical thinking capabilities, and in-depth understanding of PayPal’s data to collaborate with business users and engineers, brainstorm and strategize the “right” data products, initiate and document the requirements. Influence, support and contribute to the development of PayPal’s data strategies.
