*Interview mode: Phone than F2F.Job Description:*The Server Administrator contractor provides technical support for problems and changes as they relate to Partners *Citrix 4.5 environment* that is managed by the Service Delivery team. Resolving and reporting on performance issues and maintaining proper documentation are also a primary responsibility for this role. The Server Administrator contractor monitors various server functions which include Citrix and potentially 3rd party app software, in addition to planning for application migrations from *Citrix 4.5 to Citrix 6.5*. The engineer may also evaluate and implement third party software products to support the above listed tasks ensuring all Windows systems and application software provide the highest level of system integrity to ensure the operational standards and controls as expressed by Partners Healthcare. *Principal Duties and Responsibilities* •Performance monitoring, technical support and trouble-shooting of all Citrix infrastructure (primarily 4.5 platform) •Problem analysis and recovery •Evaluation of tools/products related to Citrix 4.5 system administration •Citrix/Epic server performance monitoring and capacity planning •System integrity, backups, restores and disaster recovery. •Other duties as assigned *Qualifications * •BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience •MCSE or equivalent experience desired. •Technical experience in healthcare environment is preferred *•5+ years of MS Windows server and infrastructure support in a 7x24x365 enterprise environment•5+ years of supporting Citrix XenApp environment (4.5)* •Experience with Back-End Infrastructure technologies and principles (Virtual Machines, Storage, Disaster Recovery, Security) preferred •Experience with EdgeSite a plus •Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (7, 2008R2, 2012) *Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required* •Strong knowledge of Citrix XenApp 4.5 environment •Strong commitment to customer service •Excellent written and verbal communication skills •Ability to multitask and prioritize work requirements •Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems (7, 2008R2, 2012) *Working Conditions * •Connected work cubicle program (shared) •Potential on-call responsibilities •Remote access capabilities provided.
