The environment is exciting, fast-paced and constantly changing. The right person for this position will be comfortable with shifting priorities, being deliverable-oriented, and being accountable for achieving realistic yet challenging goals. The candidate will participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle including planning, technical design, construction, peer reviews, documentation, testing and deployment. *GENERAL REQUIREMENTS* ** Must be comfortable working in a dynamic, constantly changing environment!!* ** Must have experience with long and short term projects* * Develop, customize and implement robust ecommerce software * Met project deadlines by: o Taking ownership o Understanding and analyzing requirements o Designing and developing superior solutions o Building solid technical test plans * Contribute to the team environment to ensure mutual success by providing guidance for development, testing and troubleshooting *Exhibit strong time management skills by prioritizing multiple requests across multiple projects * Provide concise/clear status updates and escalate issues as appropriate to the relevant project stakeholders ** Determine optimal solution designs based on the assessment of costs, risks, complexity and benefits* ** Solve complex problems by leading analysis and development of technical solutions; involve and guide other team members in problem solving activities* ** Successfully deploy our ecommerce platform in a variety of production environments that include Websphere, Apache MQ, and DB2 etc.* * Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering *TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS* ** Thorough knowledge of J2EE and Web Services* ** Intimate knowledge of WAS with OS on Linux* * Extensive EJB, UML, XML, etc. knowledge * Should possess sound knowledge of modular design approach * Experience working with an RDBMS (DB2 preferred) *PREFERRED EXPERIENCE* * Experience with fee-based managed account programs, including Separately Managed Accounts (SMA), *Unified Managed Accounts (UMA), Mutual Fund Wrap (MFA/MFW), etc.* * FIX Protocol knowledge including FIX messages, client connectivity and certification Experience with MS Visio * Experience working at a start-up is a significant plus * Familiarity with, PERL, a plus.
