*Location:: Chicago, IL * *Duration:: 1+ year* *Skills required :-* · The Data Steward is responsible for the implementation of critical data element certification for specific data categories · Solid understanding of data management and metadata, including familiarity with data governance best practices · In partnership with the Data Solution Architects, defines specific data element business definitions, valid values & quality rules · Submits change requests to DMCs for metadata and Data Quality changes of their Critical Data Elements · Accountable for ensuring that a proposed valid value aligns with the element's definition and appropriate metadata is established and captured via the Council's change management process · Ensures their data elements have lineage documented based on the requirements for each element (Authoritative Source vs. SOR) · Computer literacy/proficiency in data query tools such as SAS, SQL, Teradata, Oracle, UNIX, and MS Office preferred · Strong Analytical, Process, Problem Solving and Detailed oriented · Excellent Interpersonal, organizational and relationship building Skills .
