and global markets is looking for a MS SQL DBA Consultant to join their
group.
Day in the Life:
* Production and Development Support
* Develop procedures for database monitoring, maintenance, backup,
recovery and automated alerts based on server thresholds and events
* Develop maintenance regimes
* Establish standards and procedures
* Expert in tasks automation
* Scripting language (ksh, perl)
* Create and implement security models
* Support development and production
* Server, query, application performance tuning
* Logical and physical database design
What You Bring to the Team:
* 7-10 years' experience
* Solid Sybase DBA experience. MS SQL is a plus
* In-depth knowledge in building infrastructure ("setting up shop") for
large databases
* In-depth knowledge in different disaster-recovery and warm-backup
schemes, procedures, and implementations
* Data Center Migration experience
Big Plus: Prior project experience architecting, migrating MS SQL Server in
VMWare environment, specifically engineering
