*Roles & Responsibilities*              *Portfolio Management*



 Provides insight into demand and capacity needs on an annual and
quarterly basis

 Collaborates on integrated business and IT planning

 Coordinates Business Solution Area portfolio prioritization reviews

 Consults in the creation of business cases

 Collaborates in preparation of resource capacity requests aligned with
planning roadmap(s)

 Assesses the “ability to deliver” on resource capacity requests

 Collaborates with others to identify and manage portfolio risks, issues
and changes at the portfolio level across Business Solution Area portfolios

 Brings visibility into Business Solution Area portfolio health by
providing dashboard reports of active, planned and completed projects
within all programs



*Demand Management*

 Ensures alignment of demand with annual and quarterly funding

 Manages and drives all demand impacting the Business Solution Area

 Consolidates and submits annual and quarterly resource capacity requests

 Maintains a future view of demand by IT area and application (i.e.,
portfolio plan) in alignment with planning roadmap and approved funding

 Drives efficiency by bundling work requests, break fix items, and pending
work items into projects and releases



*Resource Capacity Management*

 Ensures resource manager engagement staffing is aligned with quarterly
funding levels

 Aligns Business Solution Area staffing levels to all demand impacting the
Business Solution Area

 Facilitates the requisition and optimization of Business Solution Area
resource use

 Aligns proper roles on projects and requesting key resources before
project initiation

 Coordinates Business Solution Area workforce planning based on workforce
strategy and demand outlook



*Generic Managerial Skills*

•             Exposure to Agile Methodology and Scrum works

•             Insurance domain knowledge

•             Good written and verbal communication skills

•             Ability to manage a team of technical resources
